Vehicle transport in Yateley

When a vehicle needs moving to or from Yateley, AtWheel can help plan the collection, road journey and handover. Tell us whether it is a purchase, sale, workshop transfer or non-running car, and provide the actual addresses at both ends. We will check its condition and access before agreeing the complete transport arrangement.

A vehicle move with the details settled first

A planned transport job starts with the car itself: its registration, make, model and present condition. Then we need to know who will release it and who will receive it. These contacts may be an owner and repairer, a private seller and buyer, or two businesses. AtWheel uses those details to assess the movement rather than assuming that a postcode and date describe everything involved.

Our vehicle transport service can consider different types of agreed collection. Explain the reason for the move and any receiving appointment. If the vehicle must be released by a particular person, tell us when that person is available. A proposed date remains an enquiry until the job, price and availability are confirmed with AtWheel.

Transport mileage from PO13 8DG

The rate is £3 per mile for the route from PO13 8DG to the collection point and then to the delivery point. Both legs are chargeable: the journey to reach the vehicle and the onward delivery. A move between two Yateley addresses therefore includes the journey to collection, even when the vehicle itself travels only a short distance.

As a calculation example, a route with 40 miles to collection followed by 15 miles to delivery totals 55 chargeable miles. At £3 per mile, that produces a £165 mileage amount. Those figures are hypothetical, not a measured quote for Yateley. The actual road route, vehicle suitability and any job extras must be checked before a total is agreed.

Enter the collection and delivery postcodes in the transport quote form, using the places where the vehicle will actually be handed over. Add the full addresses, condition and access notes. A postcode calculation helps establish mileage; it does not by itself confirm that a transporter can reach a private yard or that somebody will be available to release the car.

Private purchases and seller arrangements

For a car bought in Yateley, confirm the purchase and seller's release arrangements before booking transport. Ask the seller for the precise storage address, registration and an accurate account of whether it starts and moves. If it has been parked since the advertisement was written, its current condition may need checking again. Do not assume that a description of a running car covers every later collection date.

Give AtWheel the seller's contact details and tell the seller who is arranging collection. If another person will attend, establish their authority to release the vehicle and ensure they have the keys. Resolve questions about the purchase, ownership and promised condition directly with the seller. A transport booking covers the agreed movement; it does not take the place of a pre-purchase inspection.

Where parts, spare wheels or paperwork are included, identify them in advance. Loose items need to be discussed rather than left for someone to discover at handover. Ask the seller to remove belongings that are not part of the sale. The vehicle preparation guide provides a useful checklist for making the collection clear to everyone involved.

Property access and the real parking position

For a home or storage-property collection, explain how the vehicle reaches the road. Include gates, gradients, the surface and any narrow turn or shared parking area. A property name can cover more than one building or entrance, so describe the one used by the car. If another vehicle is blocking its route, arrange access with the relevant person before a time is confirmed.

Let AtWheel know if the car is inside a garage or behind a locked entrance. The person meeting us should be able to provide access as well as the ignition key. If the owner is elsewhere, an authorised representative may be needed. A plan based on someone eventually arriving with a gate key is difficult to confirm as a reliable collection appointment.

The common is a landmark, not a collection address

Yateley Common may be a convenient local reference when describing a nearby property, but transport needs the actual vehicle address and road entrance. Hampshire County Council names the car park by Wyndham's Pool as a nature-trail starting point. If a car is legitimately held there and needs moving, identify that parking area specifically, together with its position and the person responsible for handover.

The walking paths and designated bridleways across the common should not be used as assumed approaches for transport equipment. A map route suitable for a pedestrian is not evidence of vehicle access or loading permission. Tell AtWheel about the normal vehicular entrance and any operator restriction. Do not relocate a car to an informal meeting point without first agreeing that the proposed site is suitable.

Workshop deliveries and return movements

If the vehicle is going to a workshop, confirm that the repairer can receive it in its present condition. Give AtWheel the business name, appropriate entrance and contact for the keys. Explain whether the car will be driven into a bay or needs to remain in an agreed unloading position. A repair booking and a delivery arrangement need to fit together.

For collection from a garage, check that the work, release permission and any account arrangements have been settled. Tell us about dismantled parts or a change in the car's ability to roll and steer. If it needs to return home after repairs, request that later movement separately. The outward mileage calculation does not automatically reserve or include a future return collection.

Non-runners and loading questions

AtWheel can assess non-runner transport enquiries, but “it does not start” is only part of the description. Say whether the wheels turn, steering unlocks and parking brake releases normally. Include tyre condition, available keys and damage near the ground. If a seller or workshop cannot confirm something, report that uncertainty so it can be addressed before the collection is agreed.

Do not attempt an unfamiliar emergency release or force the car to move simply to prepare for transport. The method must suit its design and condition. Our non-running vehicle transport guide explains the details worth gathering. Clear information lets us distinguish an engine problem from a separate loading limitation that also needs attention.

Automatic, electric and modified vehicles

Provide the exact model when arranging transport for an automatic, hybrid or electric car. Mention relevant warnings, collision damage or anything that affects movement. If it is connected to a charge point, arrange proper disconnection before collection and raise a cable or charger problem with the operator. A transport appointment should not depend on improvising a way to detach charging equipment.

Tell AtWheel about lowered suspension, body kits or other modifications that reduce clearance. A photograph taken safely may help explain how the car sits, but it does not replace the vehicle details. If parts have been removed for repair, describe what is loose or missing. The assessment should reflect the actual car that will be collected, rather than an unmodified example of the same model.

Vans and restricted height

AtWheel can handle vans up to 3,500kg. For a Yateley van movement, give the model, weight information and load details, including a conversion, high roof or fitted equipment. Confirm whether the van will be empty or carrying its normal contents. Any change to the load after the enquiry should be reported so the proposed transport arrangement remains based on the right information.

Our equipment can work with 2.1m clearance, with ramps, turns and loading space assessed for each job. Tell us about restrictions at either address and obtain any necessary operator permission. We do not promise entry below 2.1m, and an entrance sign alone does not confirm the full route is suitable. These checks apply to the vehicle's position and the equipment needed to reach it.

Delivery details that prevent confusion

Decide where the vehicle can remain after unloading and who will accept the keys. A non-running car needs a position that does not require it to be driven again immediately. Explain a narrow driveway, shared entrance or controlled yard at the delivery end. The person receiving it should know the agreed location and be able to answer a call if an access question arises.

If the delivery address changes, let AtWheel know before collection so the mileage and practical arrangements can be reviewed. A different postcode may alter the charge, while a different entrance at the same property may change the loading assessment. Keeping those changes together avoids treating a revised destination as a minor administrative detail when it affects the actual work.

Request a checked Yateley collection

For vehicles held in nearby areas, see Fleet vehicle transport and Farnborough car collection. The pages explain coverage rather than separate depot locations. Use the address where the vehicle is stored and provide both handover contacts. AtWheel can then consider the real route and availability instead of estimating from the owner's town alone.

If an unexpected fault has left you needing assistance, our Yateley breakdown recovery service has separate call-out pricing.
